"Aftermath" is the debut album of Skyforest, the Russian solo-project which rose from the ashes of Annorkoth. Originally released in 2014, it is now for the first time ever available on vinyl.

Featuring Tim Yatras (Austere, Germ) on session vocals and drums, this album is the most Depressive Black Metal-like release in the Skyforest discography. Yet even back then the evolution into a more atmospheric kind of (Black) Metal with an uplifting view on life was already apparent...perhaps not in Yatras' lyrics, but certainly in the music of composer B.M.

Skyforest Russia

Skyforest is a melancholic metal project of B.M. (Blurry Lights, Hiki). First writings and recordings were made in the beginning of 2013, but the first release surfaced only in the mid-2014, when session members were found for a proper recording.

I’ve owned the Imperfect disc for a bit now, but had slept on the rest of the material, with the exception of Disquiet, until now. Much different than my normal dissonant, occult sound fare, but everything Unrequited creates is bursting at the seams with power and emotion. Respect and support. Slug.
